Titles within Phoenix

Ok so titles don't really mean much unless all of our members understand what they mean and what roles they incorporate, so below you will find a detailed explanation of all titles and also at the very bottom a list of titles that need filling by someone within the corporation.

Corporate title descriptions

Co-Director of Intelligence (C-DoL):

Responsible for categorising all corporation data and senate decisions into mediums that member's can freely access. That is to facilitate the running of the corporation by organising data on everything from corporate operations to decisions on Alliances and wars into documents posted in either Corpmail, the PHOENIX in-game static website (under contents list), or in out of game forums. Also to moderate this information so that it remains up to date and concise. They are the chief liaisons between website moderators. All crucial information about corp will be relayed through them in some form or another, so keeping an eye on Corpmail posted by them is important.

Director of the Phoenix Initiative (DPI):

Responsible for helping new players in the corporation, through the Phoenix Initiative: An Initiative setup for new, inexperienced members of Phoenix to get them up to speed as soon as possible. See the Corpmail posts under the heading Phoenix Initiative, posted by Hanius Valm, or the following link Phoenix Initiative if this interests you.

Chief Recruiting Officer (CRO):

Responsible for extending the members list of the corporation and pointing new recruits in the right direction so that they will fit into the best possible roles within the corporation. He or she must therefore have an intimate knowledge of the corporations structure so that each new recruit is assigned to the best possible section of the corporation and if necessary eve mailing the necessary commanders or personnel so that they are aware of the new recruits potential. For example if a new recruit is a mining specialist who wants to be involved with lots of mining operations then contacting Tariz IKamo by evemail would help in getting him adjusted to what systems we mine in, where he can drop stuff to be refined and so on.

Corporate Website Moderator (CWM):

In charge of running and moderating data on the in game website. The data held here is deemed to be static data in so much as it won't change for long periods of time and is thus a suitable place for listing detailed descriptions of how things are run within the corporation under the appropriate topic heading. Contact Rogan Samish if you feel there is anything that might be of value to corporation posted on this in game website.

PvP title description

For a full listing of Squadron roles and how they all tie in together read the Phoenix Rebel Fleet link.

Dragon Squadron Commander (DSC):

Specialising in Electronic warfare commands a legion of ships specialised in just such a role. Whether this is ECM in their mid slots, or modules or drones designed to disrupt targeting or weapons, one thing is for sure enemy ships will be at a significantly disadvantage when they engage. When not in an engagement it is this commander's responsibility to make sure he communicates with the members assigned to his team in order that he knows exactly what assets he can bring to a fight and where they are currently stationed.

Open titles for application

Contact a senate member who will discuss the position and your qualifications with Rogan Samish. Also note that if the qualifications are there, certain titles can be held by more than one person if it makes the process more efficient. For example only one commander can be nominated for any PvP squadron otherwise confusion might arise in battle but in time it might prove a wise move to employ more than one active recruiting officer.

Corporation

Chief Industrial Director (CID):

Responsible for making sure mining operations, refining and production runs smoothly. Looking for someone who has good mining skills, knowledge of blueprints and research and some experience in manufacture. First goal will be making sure corporation has an efficient system by which people with poor refining skills can drop junk and ore into a station container in a nominated station's corporate hanger and get it refined and the minerals dropped back into their personal hanger. Other goals we are looking for this person to take on is to collect data on all available original blueprints that members of corporation have and provide this info to a C-DoI to post in our Industry Tab, Mining and Manufacturing, and if possible to secure multiple run copies of these from members to donate to corp for manufacturing process. Eventually we require this person to provide a C-DoI with a list including the breakdown in mineral costs of all the items PHOENIX will eventually be able to provide for corp members. He or She will then be responsible for taking build orders and members minerals and supply them with cheaper than market items such as ships.

Another role this member may take on is the manufacture of items from group corporate mining operations. The ore from these ops will be donated to corp and it will be the CIDs responsibility to get this ore refined and built into items that can be stockpiled for times of war and so on. E.g. Ammo and cheap frigates for PvP defence. This person will also have the ability to request and hire other members into roles beneath him in order to make this process efficient and so that he doesn't get over burdened. E.g. he or she may wish to hire a chief ore refiner to aid him, but he will always be responsible for the coordination of these members' actions.

Head of Mining Ops (HMO):

The HMO is responsible for coordinating group mining operations in both high and low sec Space. He is in charge of communicating with and being the liaison with the suitable PvP commanders to organise protection should it be needed, and if need be organising once off refining duties and the distribution of the refined minerals once operations have ended.

Head of exploration (HoE):

Player will be charged with organising solo or group expeditions to find new territories for Phoenix to either expand into or take advantage of from time to time. The HoE will need to understand what makes a good high sec mining system, low sec mining system, complex run in a region, or base for ratting operations or indeed a new HQ location and report this data back in a well documented form to both Rogan Samish and a C-DoI so that senate members can debate on whether to incorporate system into any future ops we might run. In the long run such responsibilities might include finding a 0.0 system for PHOENIX to claim as its own or a low sec complex that proves profitable for us to defend and guard and thus place a position up in.

Political diplomat (PD):

Person who is responsible for engaging in talks with Alliances and/or other corporation in regards to issues on mergers, War and so on. He or she is responsible for engaging in talks that will ally corporation with others who will make our position in Eve stronger. They are also responsible for de-escalating any conflicts when at all possible.

Forum moderator (FM):

Responsible for the running and control of data that gets placed on out of game website. In short makes sure forums don't get over cluttered or no inappropriate information is posted.

PvP

Fleet commander (FC):

In charge of coordinating all squadron commanders, and thus the highest ranking member of any fleet operation.

Honour Guard Squadron Commander (HGSC):

The personal bodyguard to the FC, and therefore one of the elitist fighting forces in Phoenix. Consisting of a mix of tactics to ensure that whatever position the FC takes on the battlefield he is always well protected. When not in an engagement it is this commander's responsibility to make sure he communicates with the members assigned to his team in order that he knows exactly what assets he can bring to a fight and where they are currently stationed.

Eagle Squadron Commander (ESC):

Must be skilled at fitting long range sniper boats and in time be skilled for using sensor disrupter drones. His/Hers and thus their squad's role in a PvP fleet is to provide firepower to anywhere that calls for assistance in taking down a tougher enemy on the battlefield, and to stay out of harms way where at all possible. In essence the artillery of Phoenix Rebel Fleet, making sure no one is out of reach from the justice of our vengeance.

Chaos Squadron Commander (CSC):

The commander of this squadron must show an aptitude for close range combat. He/She and their squad will be fitted with heavy hitting close range weapons and stasis Webbers and of course warp core scramblers to bring chaos and terror into the heart of our enemies. Their aim on the battlefield will be too tank hard, hit harder and make sure no one escapes their inevitable destruction. The largest of all the squadrons they will be charged with making sure the action stays squarely on them, allowing the more specialised squads the breathing space to choose their targets. To call Chaos Squadron the grunts of Phoenix Rebel Fleet would be an insult as this squad will perhaps have the hardest job of all.

Nemesis Squadron Commander (NSC):

Logistics, a sorely neglected part of any PvP fleet. The commander and his men will provide a highly specialised support network for all the other squads. They will fly in close tandem and be able to provide any player with a massive boost in armour, shields, capacitor at the most critical of times. Speed, warp core stabs, and insane tanking will be required here as you will inevitably draw in enemy fire being the medics of Phoenix Rebel Fleet. With little in the way of actual fire power it will be this squad's goal to sit back at a distance and warp in to any member who needs it, then using speed and stabs to escape Webbers and warp core scramblers warp back out to a safe spot and wait for the call. But it will be up to the commander's discretion if he wants to take a more hands on approach and hit back with some fire power as well.

Stalker Squadron Commander (SSC):

Again another specialist squadron, but with many roles to facilitate. Firstly in any fleet engagement intelligence is key, thus through the use of covert ops or more direct methods this commander and his squadron will be responsible for providing intelligence of enemy forces and numbers back to the FC and other commanders thus providing Intel on what respective "warp in" distances should be and giving them the information needed to adjust their tactics accordingly. They should always be the first squadron to be scrambled and through the use of frigates and speed should remain out of harms way when guiding in the more heavy hitters of the fleet. Once the battle has begun their job will be far from over as through the use of multiple target painters and speed they will hold down the job of increasing the Sig radius of ships such as AF, HACS or frigates so that the heavier guns of BS or weapons lacking tracking speed can bring their full brute force to bare. They will also be responsible for taking down any frigates that may have been deemed a lesser target by more powerful gang members. Thus a healthy mix of interceptors, covert ops frigates and fast smaller craft is essential. They will provide one further service which is that they will be responsible for the coordination and setting up of Cynosural fields and warp disrupter bubbles when needed.
